In this interview, we speak with Brian Branch, the creator of Rivver Accountant, an AI-powered personal wealth management platform tailored for the Caribbean. By aggregating financial data and providing intelligent insights, the project helps a new generation of earners better manage, save, and grow their wealth.
What does Rivver Accountant do? And why is now the time for it to exist?
Rivver Accountant is a personal wealth management tool that helps the latest generation of earners and investors in the Caribbean to manage their finances by aggregating their financial data and providing AI driven insights to help them better save, invest and grow their wealth. The AI and Automation revolution will definitely bring volatility to jobs, income and investments, so Rivver is building financial tools so users know where they are, where they are going and how to get there. Now’s a good time for Rivver Accountant to exist because the integration of AI can finally bridge the gap in regions lacking traditional open banking APIs, empowering users with automated, accessible financial clarity.
What is your traction to date? How many people does Rivver Accountant reach?
Around 200 persons per month and growing, from our platform to social media pages. There is demand for the solution especially in the Caribbean where we are targeting.
Who does your Rivver Accountant serve? What’s exciting about your users and customers?
Our product targets employed consumers between 18 and 40 in the Caribbean to help them manage their spending, saving and investments, but our tool is for anyone that wants to eliminate the mental load of managing and tracking their personal finances.
What technologies were used in the making of Rivver Accountant? And why did you choose ones most essential to your techstack?
Rivver Accountant relies on a reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure powered by Vultr, Azure, and Docker. We also chose to integrate Google's Gemini to drive the advanced AI insights that serve as the crucial, intelligent layer over our users' personal financial data.
What is traction to date for Rivver Accountant? Around the web, who’s been noticing?
We recently launched after successfully graduating from the Founder Institute's first Caribbean accelerator cohort, which gave us strong early validation. We are currently focused on building engagement and sharing our journey across our community channels, including Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Rivver Accountant scored a 51 proof of usefulness score (https://proofofusefulness.com/report/rivver-accountant)
What excites you about this Rivver Accountant's potential usefulness? *
The Caribbean is a slower moving market than the rest of the world therefore, the APIs and financial integrations that many citizens of developed nations benefit from aren't yet available in the Caribbean. So I'm excited most about creating this solution to not just match existing tools that already exist in other parts of the world but also to create cutting edge AI empowered solutions that can provide personalized insights, functioning as an intelligent layer on top of the user's personal financial data.
